The purpose of this course is to further develop and hone communication and presentation skills to prepare students for English communication in the workplace and business situations. Students will practice explaining their major field of study, their interests and their opinions in English through group discussions and individual presentations. Basic skills for making a clear persuasive presentation will be taught and instruction will include discussion of cultural differences in international business.

Student evaluation will be based on Active Participation (50%) and Presentations (50%).

Students will be expected to actively participate in class discussions.
Class will be conducted in English and students are strongly encouraged to speak in English only during class.

Students will learn the following:
1. physical message: eye-contact, gesture, posture, voice inflection
2. information message: introduction, body, conclusion
3. visual aids
